"Well hello there, sir. How may I be of assistance?"

"Mr Jackson sent me with a telegram informin’ you he’d be late home, ma’am." Hobbs held out the simple piece of paper with words scribbled on it.

"Thank you, constable." She took the paper with a delicate hand and a slight nod. "I appreciate you taking the time to pass this message on."

"You…I have heard your name uttered by others. What is your business here?"

image I currently have no business as such with you Madame, only your American, should his gaze fall my way.

Is that so? Well you should have heard by now Inspector that he was and definitely no longer is my American, and I shall remain prudent as such.

Any active Ripper Street roleplayers out there?

"Afternoon— oh. Don’t often see classy ladies such as yourself ‘round these parts. What can I get for you, miss?"

"I would not hasten to call myself ‘classy’. My name is Susan Hart. And you would be?"

Stepping into the large wondrous building, Lucy Eames felt a small flutter of excitement. This was where her life had truly started, where she had taken her first steps on her own in the world, where she had felt loved. A smile slowly spread across her innocent face as she walked along…

Susan was busy counting when one of the girls knocked to enter.

"Yes?" She spoke, her tone soft.

"Miss Susan, a girl by the name of Lucy Eames asks after you."

Her expression changed immediately, and she stood. “Where did you send her, Martha?”

"The waiting lounge, Miss."

Thanking the girl, Susan made her way towards the room, the smile on her face growing. Opening the door, she entered. “Lucy, my dear, how it lifts my mood to hear of your arrival. Please, help yourself to refreshments.” The brothel-keeper motioned to a tray sat upon a table in the middle of the well-decorated room.

Sitting beside the younger woman, Susan smiled. “So, how have you been?”

I just want to forget Susan and Jackson ever fell out.

And have it so that Duggan never happened.

"Relax, Hobbs. Man, I’m only joking."
